When you think about it, it is mindboggling to consider all the time, money and other resources used to attract a company via tax incentives, simply because the government decided to make it financially unwise to relocate in an area in the first place.State and local economic development officials have made their pitch to land a major corporate headquarters for Louisville.
Now, they'll play the waiting game to see whether their efforts result in a home run.
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority granted Kindred Pharmacy Services Inc. preliminary approval for $8 million in state tax incentives for up to 10 years at its Oct. 26 meeting in Frankfort.
